After losing to Northern Valley the last time they met, Golden Plains decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Golden Plains Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Northern Valley Huskies on Tuesday, sneaking past 30-28. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since January 12, 2024.

Northern Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haedyn Cox, who posted nine points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Cox a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was Delaney Sides, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Golden Plains has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Northern Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Golden Plains didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-24 loss against Wheatland-Grinnell on the 7th. As for Northern Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-43 victory against Logan/Palco on the 7th.
