Softball Recap: Exeter Comes Up Short

Exeter blew Merrimack out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Merrimack got their revenge. The Blue Hawks fell just short of the Tomahawks by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blue Hawks have suffered since June 1, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Exeter and nudges their season record down to 4-7-1. As for Merrimack, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4-1.

Exeter wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-0 win against Manchester Central on the 14th. As for Merrimack, they have also already played their next game, a 7-5 victory against Concord on the 14th.
