Preview: Juanita Ravens vs. Auburn Riverside Ravens
The Juanita Ravens will head out on the road to face off against the Auburn Riverside Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Juanita on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Mercer Island out of the water with a 41-0 final score. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Juanita had established a 34 point advantage.
Dallas Sooto was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 213 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes. Nolan Mcwilliams was in the mix as well, providing Juanita with two touchdowns.
Auburn Riverside fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They breezed by Auburn on the road to the tune of 41-14. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-0.
It was another big night for Thyrou Umi-Tuato'o, who rushed for 109 yards and four touchdowns. Cole Svendsen was another key contributor, picking up 82 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Juanita to 7-2 and Auburn Riverside to 6-3.
