Baseball Recap: South Gate Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for South Gate's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Legacy Tigers on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Monday.

South Gate has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Legacy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.

South Gate and Legacy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Rams (ranked 813th) will meet Sonora (ranked 225th) at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Legacy will challenge Banning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (743 vs. 302).
