Basketball Game Preview: Vanlue Wildcats vs. Ridgedale Rockets

The Vanlue Wildcats will take on the Ridgedale Rockets in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with 26 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Vanlue turned things around against St. Joseph Central Catholic on Saturday. They secured a 51-45 W over the Crimson Streaks.

Cameron King was Vanlue's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Brady Hamilton held things down on the boards with four rebounds. Owen Roszman took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Meanwhile, Ridgedale entered their tilt with Elgin on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Comets 56-35. That 21 point margin sets a new team best for the Rockets this season.

Vanlue's victory ended a 14-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-4. As for Ridgedale, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
