Basketball Game Preview: Mariner Marauders vs. Glacier Peak Grizzlies

Mariner hasn't had much luck against Glacier Peak recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mariner Marauders will venture away from home to take on the Glacier Peak Grizzlies at 8:00 p.m.

Mariner is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They took a 52-33 bruising from Cedar Park Christian.

Meanwhile, Glacier Peak won against Kamiak last Wednesday with 64 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Glacier Peak simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Jackson 64-33. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 23 points or more this season.

Glacier Peak has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Mariner, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Mariner was dealt a bruising 60-22 defeat at the hands of Glacier Peak in their previous meeting back in January. Can Mariner avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
