Softball Recap: Tri-Cities Takes a Loss

Tri-Cities was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 14-3 to Decatur. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Decatur this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in September.

Tri-Cities saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alysa Mayo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another was Laila Slade, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one run.

Tri-Cities' defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Decatur, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

Coming up, Tri-Cities will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Westlake at 5:30 p.m. As for Decatur, they will venture away from home to face off against Midtown at 5:55 p.m. on Monday.
