Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kingsbury). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the KIPP Collegiate phoenix 58-24. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Maleah Ward was her usual excellent self, putting up 30 points. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Kingsbury's points. Charlena Elumn was another key player, posting 16 points.

Kingsbury's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10. As for KIPP Collegiate, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kingsbury won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against White Station at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for KIPP Collegiate, they and Manassas will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. KIPP Collegiate is facing Manassas at the right time seeing as Manassas is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
