Volleyball Recap: Urbana University Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Urbana University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 33rd straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes. The Illineks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Buffaloes from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-9.

Rubyrae Fraser-Soule was the offensive standout of the match as she had 15 assists. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Urbana University's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Urbana University will venture away from home to face off against DeLand-Weldon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, they will take on Iroquois West at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
