Softball Recap: Sunbright Tigers vs. Oneida Indians

Sunbright extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They came up short against the Oneida Indians, falling 25-1. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for Oneida, they moved to 5-16 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Oneida's part, Lillian Hailey and Jolie Duncan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Hailey pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Duncan pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. Coming up, Sunbright will head out to face off against Oakdale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oneida, they will take on Wartburg Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
