Baseball Recap: Prattville Comes Up Short

Prattville lost against Bibb County back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Prattville Lions fell just short of the Bibb County Choctaws by a score of 4-2. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly two runs.

Brody Crovato was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Christian Alexander made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Prattville is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Bibb County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prattville will face off against McAdory at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bibb County, they will take on Brookwood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
