Basketball Recap: Wellington-Napoleon Comes Up Short

Wellington-Napoleon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Odessa Bulldogs and fell 54-25. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 478th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 207th).

Despite the defeat, Wellington-Napoleon had strong showings from Cali Russell, who posted eight points, and Raelee Rukavina, who earned three points.

Wellington-Napoleon's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Odessa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Wellington-Napoleon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-27 defeat against Lawson on the 29th. As for Odessa, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Van Horn at 5:30 p.m.
