21st Century Charter might have lost, but man, Terrence Hayes was a machine: he went 6 for 15 en route to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Hayes has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 22 times he's played. Elijah Musaddiq was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hebron). They breezed past Whiting to the tune of 82-29 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Oilers: they've now won eight in a row.
21st Century Charter better keep an eye on Aidan Bowgren. He was instrumental in Hebron's win, shooting 4-for-5 from deep and dropping a double-double with 20 points and ten assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Wynsma, who went 6 of 11 to rack up 17 points and five rebounds.
Hebron was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.
Hebron's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for 21st Century Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: 21st Century Charter has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Hebron struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything went 21st Century Charter's way against Hebron in their previous meeting back in December of 2017, as 21st Century Charter made off with a 58-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for 21st Century Charter since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
