1. Oregon City
Head coach: Kurt Guelsdorf
2014-15 record: 25-3

The Pioneers lost just one senior off an 11-person roster last year after they were stunned 35-31 in the second round of the 6A playoffs by 15th seed Southridge. Oregon City scored 97 in a first-round win. They are led Cierra Jones, who averaged 20.4 points per game last season. Oregon City has won 12 state titles, including 2014 and 2009, and is a perennial national power.

2. South Medford (Medford)
Head coach: Tom Cole
2014-15 record: 25-5

The Panthers lost four seniors off last year's team that lost a bitter 52-51 first-round 6A playoff game. South Medford had lost in the state finals the two previous seasons after winning the title in 2012. Among key returners are Lauren Orndoff and Julissa Tago.

3. South Salem (Salem)
Head coach: Nick McWilliams
2014-15 record: 24-2

The Saxons return seven of eight players from a team that outscored opponents 1,636 to 1,011 last year and won the state 6A title. Jordan Woodvine, who had 20 points and nine rebounds in the state finals — a 56-50 win over St. Mary's Blues — and Evina Westbook, who had 17, lead South Salem.

4. Sutherlin
Head coach: Josh Grotting
2014-15 record: 28-0

It's hard to imagine Sutherlin matching last year's 28-0 season, but then again, they had the same 28-0 year in 2013-14. Last season was more emotional because beloved 84-year-old assistant Bill Spelgatti died late in the season. The Bulldogs lost six seniors to graduation but return nine other players, including Kayce Mock (6-foot) and Taylor Klein (5-10).

5. Crater (Central Point)
Head coach: David Heard
2014-15 record: 23-3

The Comets lost a whopping eight seniors off the 2014-15 team, but with 17 girls on the roster, they have plenty of returners. Crater, which lost in the 5A semifinals to La Salle, will be led this season by Destiny Fahndrick (5-10).
