Softball Recap: Campo Verde Takes a Loss

Campo Verde fell victim to Arizona College Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Coyotes have suffered since March 7th.

Campo Verde got a good showing from Addyson Armstrong, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, Armstrong didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in February.

Campo Verde has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. The victory was the tenth in a row for Arizona College Prep, bringing their record up to 12-3.

While Campo Verde had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
