Softball Recap: Santa Rosa Lions vs. Mora Rangers/Rangerettes

After flying high against Logan on Monday, Santa Rosa came back down to earth. The Santa Rosa Lions' tough 31-22 loss to the Mora Rangers/Rangerettes on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. Santa Rosa was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mora apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Santa Rosa got a massive performance out of Kasydi Chavez, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with five runs, three RBI, and a triple. On Mora's side, they got a massive performance out of Isabella Martinez, who got on base in six of her seven plate appearances with a home run, three stolen bases, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Romero, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances.

Santa Rosa dropped their record down to 4-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Mora, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
