Basketball Recap: South Bend Riley Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It was a proper cat-fight when South Bend Riley challenged Gary West Side on Friday. The South Bend Riley Wildcats enjoyed a cozy 47-30 victory over the Gary West Side Cougars. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats who have now won three games in a row.

South Bend Riley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lafaye Gibson out in front who went 7 for 12 on her way to 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Norton, who posted 11 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

South Bend Riley's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Gary West Side, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Hammond Morton the next time they take the court. South Bend Riley will head out to face Hammond Morton at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, while Gary West Side will play them later in the day, at TBD.
