Softball Recap: Ryan Takes a Loss

If Ryan was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Irving last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell 7-2 to the Birdville Hawks on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost eight in a row.

Ryan's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Birdville, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

Coincidentally, Ryan and Birdville will both be playing Richland the next time they take the field. The Raiders will host the Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Hawks will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
