Volleyball Recap: Pike County Takes a Loss

Pike County lost against Morgan County back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-7.

Among those leading the charge was Camryn Scherer, who had five aces and four digs.

Pike County's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-5. As for Morgan County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Pike County and Morgan County will both be playing Callaway the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Pirates will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
