Diego Montes Dazzles in Kennedy Victory

Starting off the list is Kennedy's Diego Montes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Montes threw for 324 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.

Unfortunately for Canoga Park, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Montes. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Montes saw the Hunters), he rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 98 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Carlos Herrera put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 47 yards.

For the season, Herrera has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 211.3 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had four passing touchdowns.
