Tyler Van Deusen posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out four batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Van Deusen's strong effort led Las Lomas over Mt. Diablo and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
