Basketball Recap: Osage Indians vs. Linn Wildcats

Osage lost against Linn back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Osage Indians took a hard 62-46 fall against the Linn Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Wildcats are ranked 78th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Linn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vivien Baker, who went 8-for-11 en route to 17 points. The dominant performance gave Baker a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Hannah Hackmann, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 17 points.

Osage's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Linn, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Osage is taking a road trip to face off against California at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Linn, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tipton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Tipton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 contests -- so hopefully Linn likes a good challenge.
