Softball Recap: Solon Comes Up Short

Solon lost against Avon back in April of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Comets lost 12-1 to the Eagles.

Solon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ali Palsa, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Solon's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Avon, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Solon will venture away from home to challenge Stow-Munroe Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Comets are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Avon, they will challenge Midview at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
