Football Game Preview: Branson Pirates vs. Logan-Rogersville Wildcats

Branson has won three straight games at home, while Logan-Rogersville has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Pirates will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

While Branson's victory against Carl Junction wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates skirted past the Bulldogs 35-32. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted against the Bulldogs since September 11, 2020.

Meanwhile, Logan-Rogersville humbled Marshfield with a 49-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Logan-Rogersville's win came from a few key players Branson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sam Frieze, who threw for 156 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven passes. Another player making a difference was Gage Hale, who picked up 94 receiving yards and one TD.

Logan-Rogersville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 296 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 215 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Logan-Rogersville's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Branson, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
