Baseball Recap: Hackensack Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Hackensack's offense. They lost 13-0 to the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 7-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Hackensack has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Don Bosco Prep, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Hackensack does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Don Bosco Prep, they will face off against NV - Old Tappan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Ironmen 1.8, the Golden Knights 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
