Softball Recap: Cahokia Comanches vs. Metro-East Lutheran Knights
Cahokia extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 27 on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-10 in the process. They lost 15-0 to the Metro-East Lutheran Knights. If the Comanches were looking for revenge after losing 20-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Metro-East Lutheran, their record now sits at 4-8. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won four matches by 12 runs or more so far this season.
For Metro-East Lutheran's part, Alexis Weber made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Weber has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
