Soccer Recap: Valley Vista Comes Up Short

Valley Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Monsoon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Mountain Lions are ranked 16th).

Valley Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Mountain Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2-1.

Valley Vista has already played their next game, a 7-1 loss against South Mountain on the 14th. As for Mountain Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Liberty on the 15th.
