Baseball Recap: Weedsport Wolverines vs. Lafayette Lancers
After only one run in their last match, Weedsport made sure to put some runs up on the board against Lafayette on Monday. The Wolverines were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Lancers. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wolverines as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Micheal LoMascolo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. LoMascolo was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Weedsport's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't).
