Basketball Recap: Moody Comes Up Short

Moody lost against Chilton back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Moody Bearcats took a 39-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chilton Pirates.

Chilton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Curlyssa Lyons led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Triniti Leggett was another key player, putting up five points along with 15 boards and three steals.

Moody's loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Chilton, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-13 record.

Moody has already played their next match (against Mart), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Chilton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-32 win against Bruceville-Eddy on the 28th.
