Basketball Game Preview: Cainsville Redmen vs. Winston Red Birds

Cainsville is 0-3 against Winston since December of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cainsville Redmen will take on the Winston Red Birds at 7:30 p.m.

Cainsville is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game back in January. They lost to Pattonsburg at home by a 62-44 margin.

Meanwhile, Winston came tearing into Tuesday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.9 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Mustangs as they made off with a 64-42 win. The Red Birds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.

Winston's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. As for Cainsville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
