Recap: McDermitt Bulldogs vs. Jackpot Jaguars

The McDermitt Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to Jackpot. McDermitt was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jackpot apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 5th.

When it comes to explaining why McDermitt lost, one person who can't be blamed is Shandon Camas. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. Camas is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played. AJ Farmer was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.

McDermitt's defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Jackpot, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

McDermitt won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wells at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Wells is ranked 86th, while McDermitt is ranked 103rd). As for Jackpot, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Eureka at 5:00 p.m. on January 31st. Eureka is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
