Baseball Recap: Hunter Comes Up Short

Hunter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Taylorsville Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-0 defeat last Thursday.

Hunter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Montoya, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double was Montoya's first of the season.

Hunter's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Taylorsville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-7.

Coming up, Hunter will head out on the road to face off against Cyprus at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Taylorsville, they will welcome West Jordan at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season.
