Volleyball Recap: Ironwood Ridge Has No Trouble Against Walden Grove

The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks got the win against the Walden Grove Red Wolves on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Nighthawks.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13, 25-19.

Evan Birtcil paced Ironwood Ridge's offense, picking up eight kills. Birtcil got some help from Corbin Crosby and his 24 assists. Osman Abdelghauom controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Ironwood Ridge's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7. As for Walden Grove, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Ironwood Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Sunnyside on the 9th. As for Walden Grove, they will face off against Sahuaro at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
