They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Washington Academy Raiders. George Stevens Academy were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Washington Academy earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

George Stevens Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Washington Academy, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-6.

Looking ahead, George Stevens Academy will take on Fort Kent at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Washington Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Central at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Washington Academy will be up against Central's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.11 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
