Basketball Recap: Lake Region's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Lake Region came into Thursday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past the Cape Elizabeth Capers with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 50-36. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-38 back in December of 2024.

Lake Region's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Cape Elizabeth, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Poland the next time they take the court. Lake Region will host Poland at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Cape Elizabeth will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
