Volleyball Recap: Oxnard Takes a Loss

Oxnard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Bishop Diego Cardinals, falling 3-0. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Oxnard was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring zero points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Their offense was headlined by Caiden Aguilar and Jared Osorio, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Levi Martinez and his 19 assists. Finally, Osorio was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Oxnard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bishop Diego, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Oxnard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Laguna Blanca on the 21st. As for Bishop Diego, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Dos Pueblos on the 21st.
