Volleyball Recap: Mccutcheon Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

McCutcheon lost against Carmel back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mavericks came up short against the Greyhounds, falling 3-0.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Carmel scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.

Kai Inoue paced McCutcheon's offense, picking up eight kills. Inoue got some help from Kieraan Jordan and his 17 assists. Jack Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

McCutcheon's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8-1. As for Carmel, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-7-1.

McCutcheon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against North Putnam on the 8th. As for Carmel, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Brownsburg on the 6th.
