Volleyball Recap: New Kent Trojans vs. Grafton Clippers

New Kent took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-21.
Leah Rounds paced New Kent's offense, picking up 13 kills. Rounds got some help from

Grafton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Allyson Burke out in front who had 17 digs and two aces. Burke has been hot , having posted 15 or more digs the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylie Klemm, who had four digs and three aces.
New Kent's loss dropped their record down to 23-4. As for Grafton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season.
New Kent does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grafton, they will venture away from home to take on Hidden Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Grafton is coming into the game hot, having won their last 17 games.
