Basketball Recap: Versailles' Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Memorial last Tuesday, Versailles came back down to earth. The Versailles Tigers fell just short of the Minster Wildcats by a score of 54-52 on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Wildcats are ranked 250th).

Versailles' defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-2. As for Minster, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Versailles didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-41 victory against Franklin Monroe on the 11th. As for Minster, they will host Fort Loramie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
