Volleyball Recap: Wray Takes a Loss

Wray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holyoke Dragons. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Dragons from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Holyoke scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 24-26, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Wray lost, don't look at Jaycie Snapp. Despite the final result, she had 24 digs. Snapp is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Wray's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Holyoke, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.

Coming up, Wray will head out on the road to face off against Burlington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holyoke, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Highland on the 4th.
