Basketball Recap: Macee Rodman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City over Ramsey

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City was the 43-31 winner over Ramsey when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats fell 54-47 to the Ramsey Rams on Thursday.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Macee Rodman, who posted 15 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Rodman's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Ethel Stuckemeyer was another key player, putting up nine points along with eight boards and three steals.

Ramsey got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jenni Mezo out in front who went 6-for-9 to rack up 19 points and three steals. That's the most points Mezo has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Hayes, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City dropped their record down to 11-20 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Ramsey, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-14.

As of now, neither Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City nor Ramsey have any future games scheduled.
