Recap: Wrightstown Tigers vs. Oconto Falls Panthers

The Wrightstown Tigers won the last time they faced the Oconto Falls Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Wrightstown came out on top in a nail-biter against Oconto Falls and snuck past 55-53. Given Wrightstown's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Oconto Falls is ranked 377th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brady Bursa and Jeffrey Pytleski certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Bursa scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three blocks, while Pytleski scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jameson Beaman was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.

The victory got Wrightstown back to even at 5-5. As for Oconto Falls, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Wrightstown will be playing at home against Clintonville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oconto Falls, they will head out on the road to face off against Denmark at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
