Baseball Recap: Interboro Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Interboro had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Academy Park on Tuesday. The Buccaneers never let the Knights get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Buccaneers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Jaxson Munro was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Interboro is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 1-3 otherwise. Munro was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Evan Thomas was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Justin Ursone, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Interboro's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Academy Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
