Recap: Parkland Trojans vs. Emmaus Hornets
The Parkland Trojans put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over Emmaus. Given Parkland's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Emmaus is ranked 50th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Trey Tremba, who rushed for 220 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Emmaus still got an impressive performance from Josiah Williams, who rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns.
Parkland's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points per game. As for Emmaus, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Parkland will play host again and welcome Nazareth Area, where kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on Friday. Nazareth Area will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Emmaus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
