Harpursville/Afton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 42-28 fall against the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats. On the bright side, the 28- point effort marked the Hornets' highest-scoring game to date.

Bainbridge-Guilford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Conner Davy led the charge by rushing for 138 yards and four TDs on only 14 carries. Davy is becoming a predictor of the Bobcats' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Another back making a difference was Isaiah Hampton, who gained 132 total yards and a touchdown.

Harpursville/Afton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harpursville/Afton will take on Delaware Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, they will square off against Sidney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
