Baseball Game Preview: Triton Central Tigers vs. Indianapolis Scecina Memorial Crusaders

For the second straight game, Triton Central will face off against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial. The Tigers will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Triton Central's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four games.

Triton Central's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial as they made off with a 12-0 victory. The Tigers have beaten the Crusaders the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Crusaders has come to flipping the script.

Bryce Haney was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Janssen Capps was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nick Riggins, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Triton Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.
