Softball Game Preview: Indiana Little Indians vs. Highlands Golden Rams

Indiana has gone a perfect 10-0 against Highlands recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Little Indians will be playing at home against the Golden Rams at 4:00 p.m. Indiana is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Indiana's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Freeport by a score of 5-0.

Indiana saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Stossel, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave Stossel a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Highlands' offense. They came up short against Knoch on Monday, falling 7-0. The Golden Rams have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Indiana is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Highlands, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Indiana took their victory against Highlands in their previous meeting on April 14th by a conclusive 8-1 score. Will the Little Indians repeat their success, or do the Golden Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
