Holy Cross took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Jesuit, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Holy Cross narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Jesuit 3-2. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 7-0 victory the Blue Jays walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

William Andrade spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

On the hitting side, Greg Ruiz was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Holy Cross' win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Jesuit, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6-1.

Holy Cross will have a chance to go back-to-back against Jesuit: the pair will be back at it again later today.
