Volleyball Recap: Pocatello Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

Pocatello had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Burley on Tuesday. The Thunder blew past the Bobcats 3-0. The contest marked the Thunder's most dominant victory of the season so far.

Pocatello walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-6, 25-16.

Abby Lusk paced Pocatello's offense, picking up 16 kills. Lusk got some help from Josie Haymore and her 23 assists. Haymore was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Pocatello's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Burley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Pocatello and Burley will both be playing Wood River the next time they take the court. The Thunder will host the Wolverines at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on September 8.
