Football Recap: San Pasqual Valley Skates Past St. John Paul II Catholic with Ease

While San Pasqual Valley put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for St. John Paul II Catholic. The Warriors claimed a resounding 30-0 win over the Lions. The Warriors not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 6, 2024 (when they won 48-14).

Alex Acuna was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 205 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 79-yard run.

Acuna was just one part of a punishing run game: San Pasqual Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 231 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

The victory got San Pasqual Valley back to even at 1-1. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Pasqual Valley will head out to square off against Kingman Academy at 7:00 p.m. on September 6. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, they will venture away from home to challenge Highland Prep West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
